The flexible row sensor TAC
TAC is the name of Reichhardt’s row sensor. Particularly wear-resistant plastic row sensors are combined with a sophisticated sensor. Depending on the area of application, the row sensor can be used individually or in pairs. In any case, the TAC row sensor finds its way unerringly even at higher speeds – with maximum accuracy, regardless of weather conditions, clog-free, gentle on plants, and always reliable, even in stored corn.
Its advantages lie in its tolerance. It is not bothered by gaps in the crop and also adapts to the different row widths in corn cultivation. It needs resistance, which it finds in stable corn stalks and vines. While the TAC sensor has been tested in corn and wine cultivation, it can also be tried out in comparable crops, such as cotton or similar.
Achieving precision in row crops with TAC
This is PSR ISO TAC
PSR ISO from Reichhardt is an automatic steering system that is ISOBUS-compatible and, in a unique way, uses sensors such as ultrasound or row sensors as well as satellite signals for track guidance across all manufacturers. All options for machine control can be used. Any ISO VT can be used for operation.
In row crops, PSR ISO, in combination with the flexible TAC row sensor, is clearly ahead of GNSS-based guidance systems, which use virtual AB lines as a basis. There are many reasons for this, especially when not all work steps in the field could be carried out with a high-precision RTK steering system from the outset.
PSR ISO TAC recognizes the row of plants and can therefore actively respond to the existing plant stock. In the case of permanent crops such as grapes, the vines change over their lifetime and therefore never have exact straight rows. But even corn plants are often not exactly on track due to wind damage. In these cases, you need PSR ISO TAC.

TAC-Sensor
The flexible, maintenance-free, robust, and reliable TAC sensor is already installed ex works in many well-known corn choppers. What is new is the universal use of the flexible TAC row sensorr as a retrofit in corn harvesters. This makes it a real alternative to the original sensor in factory-installed track guidance systems from many manufacturers.
Compared to the commonly used metal brackets, the TAC row sensor is made of particularly wear-resistant plastic. This often makes it the better alternative to the original sensor and allows it to replace the latter in its full range of functions with the usual performance.
To do this, please select the TAC sensor kit in the first step. This can be quickly determined using the reference number. The TAC sensor kit includes the TAC sensor, paddle, and vehicle-specific connection cable.
Then select the correct item number for the mounting kit for your corn picker, choosing between 45–50 cm or 75 cm row width. The mounting kit for the corn pickers depends on the row width and includes the cutting template and mounting plate to fit the brand-specific corn tip.
