SIS REMOTE wins
AGRITECHNICA Silver medal

The SIS REMOTE safety intelligence system was developed for the radio control of autonomous agricultural machinery. It consists of a functionally safe HBC radio control and tablet-based ISOBUS automation including automatic steering system from Reichhardt.  SIS REMOTE was first developed to commercial readiness in the LV 600 Plus Green Climber machine from MDB in close cooperation with VOGT and is a key technology for autonomous field cultivation.

The innovation enables safe and efficient operation of autonomous vehicles in agriculture, road banks and motorways, field management and other public areas. Using GPS for guidance, it is ideal for repetitive tasks like roadside grass cutting, golf courses, business and solar parks. The track lines can be programmed into the system either manually or with a PC and saved in memory to repeat the task in the future. The official award will be presented at the world’s leading trade fair AGRITECHNICA from 27.02. – 05.03.2022 in Hanover.

Mario Di Biase, founder of MDB Srl says “This joint project demonstrates best-in-class leadership in the industry for the evolution of the radio-controlled tractor sector. In the first evolution of this sector, we have removed the operator from the machine to provide safety and to reduce physical stress. In this second evolution, we are achieving reduced operator workloads for repetitive tasks through autonomous driving.”

Wolfgang Vogt, from VOGT GmbH, says “We have heard intense interest from our end users in a commercially available autonomous driving Green Climber machines that can perform these repetitive tasks and reduce workload on the operator to make their resources more efficient.”

Dr. Thomas Pohlmann, from REICHHARDT says, “We are proud to be part of this consortium as we have led the industry in the development of autonomous driving with agricultural tractors and are applying this to an adjacent industry for specialized heavy use vehicles.”

Thomas Roels, Head of Sales and Member of General Management at HBC-radiomatic GmbH says: “For decades, our products have been setting the standards for the safe control of machines. We are very happy that we were able to implement an optimal solution for the high requirements in this project with our leading technologies in the area of functional safety.”

SMART AgLIGHT
revolutionizes the worklight

With SMART AgLIGHT, the new intelligent  worklight system,  for the first time, the light can be distributed continuously for long-distance and close-range lighting by individually controlling and networking the diffusing lenses of the worklight., Precise, storable light profiles, adapted to equipment combinations and operating conditions, are operated via ISO-VT and mobile devices. SMART AgLIGHT was developed in cooperation with BHTronik GmbH.

Sections of the lens are coated with liquid crystal polymer. These are individually cross-linked and controlled, and therefore provide infinitely variable, targeted bundling or scattering of the light. The change between far-field and near-field lighting is infinitely variable within milliseconds. There is no wear and tear due to complex mechanics. This provides exact, storable lighting profiles for all device combinations and operating conditions. State-of-the-art lighting technology also allows continuous adjustment of the light intensity. ISOBUS-compatible, operation takes place via an ISO-VT as well as wirelessly via mobile terminals and is thus open for apps and further functionalities.

SMART AgLIGHT von Reichhardt auf Tablet
Direct and indirect glare can be avoided and work areas are
optimally illuminated also in a vehicle network

Andreas Reichhardt, the managing partner, is convinced: “By networking  vehicle and implement, work areas can be illuminated in a targeted manner. When the implement is changed, the light profile changes automatically. Wireless M2M communication allows the light profiles of several vehicles to mesh. SMART AgLIGHT thus avoids direct and indirect glare and ensures perfect lighting conditions at all times with all the benefits for man, machine and the environment.”

SMART AgLIGHT has a compact design and is easy to install on any vehicle and implements. Separate headlights for close-range and long-range lighting are no longer required. The new working light system by Reichhardt can therefore be integrated by vehicle manufacturers at any time.
