Made in Germany
EMS is the technical term for “Electronic Manufacturing Services” and refers to the complete contract manufacturing of electronic assemblies, devices and systems – from development, PCB and cable assembly to test concepts and worldwide delivery. We also serve this segment at Reichhardt Elektronik GmbH and, unlike others, we do this in Germany.
The electronics production in Lautertal-Engelrod (Vogelsbergkreis/Hesse) was founded in the 1970s. In the last years a comprehensive modernization of the production lines and a continuous ESD protection in all production areas took place. With the integration into the Reichhardt Group, cable assembly was relocated to Engelrod. Reichhardt GmbH Steuerungstechnik has been serving the industry from the Hofgut Ringelshausen for more than 35 years with innovative developments for agriculture and the construction machinery sector.
Taking care of EMS services in a competent manner
Successful industry mix
Reichhardt is your competent partner in the production of electronic assemblies, central electrical systems and cable harnesses. We have already successfully proven our know-how in these industries:
Convincing performance
The reliability of your products from a coordinated portfolio of exclusively german production also produces many advantages over your competitors.
Satisfied EMS customers

Attention to detail
The components that can be processed in our modern SMT production line range from 0.4 mm x 0.2 mm (01005) to 99 mm x 99 mm. The maximum PCB size that can be processed in SMT production is 700 mm x 460 mm. In order to be able to keep set-up changes very short in terms of time, we have implemented optimization strategies and can therefore react flexibly and quickly in both the hardware and software areas.
In THT production, we assemble axial, radial and mechanical components, which we adapt to the requirements of the assembly in our component preparation department. After the assembly process, the printed circuit board and components are joined together by means of wave soldering. For heavy-duty connections, we rely on press-fit technology. These are particularly robust and fail-safe, which is especially important in high-frequency and high-current technology.
We are also happy to revise existing assemblies and devices for you or make adjustments with regard to standards and regulations. We accompany you in the technical advancement, in extensions, in the improvement of the manufacturing processes, including cost optimization and the support of component discontinuations

Assembly cleaning and coating
Protective coating protects the assembly from corrosion and mechanical damage, and also improves electrical insulation. Even complex, large-format assemblies with hard-to-reach areas are coated perfectly in just a few steps without providing additional data – automatically and uniformly.
We are also happy to help with the development of a coating-compatible design and the selection of coating systems. In addition, it is possible to automatically clean the assemblies prior to coating at the customer’s request. Thus, even the smallest impurities and residues of flux are removed from the assembly.

Customized cable harnesses
You benefit from our experience of almost four decades in the field of ready-to-connect cable harnesses with connectors, contacts or ferrules. Various connector solutions can be used in processing.

Individual assembly of components
In the assembly of subassemblies, we follow your specifications and wishes and also ensure a continuous supply to your customers with you. Conserving resources, we reliably take over the demand-oriented production until delivery to your customers.
Our services include PCB assembly, soldering, mounting, coating, casting on the 2K casting machine, software configuration, calibration as well as climate and function testing.

Careful preparation
We rely on proven software as early as the work preparation stage. Together with a team of well-trained employees, we compile the data and documents that ensure the flawless production of the assemblies. The following are used:

We know the acceptance criteria for electronic assemblies, their soldering materials and processes including rework, modification and repair, as well as those for printed circuit boards and for cable and harness assemblies. A qualified IPC trainer ensures that the criteria are met and that our employees are constantly kept up to date:
IPC A-600, IPC A-610, IPC J-STD-001, IPC-7711-7721, IPC WHMA-A-620
Depending on the product and application, we carry out different test procedures for quality assurance:
